Safeguarding
Safeguarding refers to the process of protecting children and vulnerable adults to provide safe and effective care. This includes all procedures designed to prevent harm to any child or vulnerable adult.
Safeguarding is:
- Protecting learners, including children, young people and vulnerable adults from maltreatment.
- Preventing impairment of learner’s health or development.
- Protecting a vulnerable adults right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
- Empowering vulnerable adults by encouraging them to make their own decisions and provide informed consent.
- Preventing the risk of abuse or neglect, and stop it from occurring.
- Ensuring that young learners grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care.
- Taking action to enable all children, young people and adult learners to have the best outcomes
All Way2Work staff have an up to date enhanced DBS check and have completed safeguarding training related to children and vulnerable adults at level 2 and 3.
How to report a safeguarding concern (over 18's)
If you have any safeguarding concerns, you can speak confidentially to the Way2Work DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead).
