Fostering - what we offer
AfC Fostering has a unique opportunity for our foster carers: we work directly with three boroughs, supporting the children coming into care in these areas, while also managing ourselves as an Independent Agency. This allows us to put all our efforts back into our service, in developing the best care package for our children and young people.
We offer our foster carers excellent support, training and benefits.
Training
As a foster carer with Achieving for Children, you’ll have ongoing training throughout your career. We will support you to fully develop your fostering skills with a wide variety of training opportunities that will support meeting the needs of children and enhance your skills.
Support
As one of our foster carers, you will have a dedicated allocated social worker who will support your journey and growth as a foster carer. As well as benefit from a comprehensive range of support options including 24 hour phone support, mentoring and special events.
Fees and allowances
We provide a robust and comprehensive financial package to foster carers to recognise their work in meeting the needs of the children in their care. This is reviewed regularly to ensure we are competitive and in line with inflation.
