We aim to support primary schools in Kingston and Richmond in the recruitment of high quality newly qualified teachers (NQTs). The offer is supported by practising headteachers and deputy headteachers.
This is a Premium service only.
What we can offer
We offer a comprehensive NQT recruitment service with a proven track record of successfully generating high numbers of quality applicants, who are then recruited into posts locally. A dedicated officer leads the marketing and promotion of Kingston and Richmond as attractive destinations for a first teaching post. Through representation at teacher recruitment fairs, drawing on established links with initial teacher training providers and marketing and promotion of subscribing schools, we generate significant interest from NQTs locally and nationally.
We run the recruitment process on an annual cycle, generating a pool of scrutinised candidates from which schools can recruit each year. We receive and quality assure applications to ensure diverse and skilled teachers proceed through to longlisting. From here candidates are shortlisted and interviewed by panels of local headteachers and deputy headteachers from schools subscribing to the service.
Recruitment from the pool is facilitated by an easy to use online service with search and select facilities. Schools subscribing to the NQT recruitment service have priority access to the pool and can recruit at preferential rates.
We have robust quality assurance checks and balances throughout the recruitment process. We work collaboratively with neighbouring boroughs and local alliances. We communicate with government departments and pan-London groups to ensure we provide the best possible service and can act as a reliable conduit for advice and information on national and local developments.
What our customers say
“In our busy lives it is such an advantage to only have to complete one application form. In Richmond and Kingston teachers apply to a pool. Then Headteachers work together from the lists generated to recruit teachers.”
“Clare and her team do an excellent job.”
