£1.25m funding secured to improve social worker recruitment and retention

The South West London & Surrey Social Work Teaching Partnership, led by Achieving for Children, has been awarded £1.25m of government funding to create a world-class social work education community.

The Partnership is comprised of Achieving for Children, Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Surrey, Sutton, Richmond & Wandsworth, Kingston University, NSPCC and Welcare.

The funding will be used to provide attractive training and development opportunities to help the partnership to attract and retain the brightest and best social workers in the country.
