Our Youth Services team worked with groups of young people on the Cambridge Road Estate in Kingston to create a striking wall mural with an anti-knife crime theme, teaming up with the Drop a Knife Save a Life campaign and Kingston Council.
About 20 young people were involved in its implementation: from coming up with the design, through to painting under the expert tuition of Tom from We Are Sky High. It was made even more powerful by the participation of Sophie from Drop a Knife Save a Life campaign, whose son Derick was tragically killed near to the location.
We provide the full range of children’s social care services. We support our social workers to undertake creative methods of intervention to ensure the voice of the child is at the centre of service development.
We believe in taking a preventative approach to working with children and their families. We have developed a package of support to help local authorities to rethink their approach to early help services while improving outcomes for children.
We have developed an improvement package to support local authorities in raising the quality and performance of children’s services in their area. We are already working with a number of authorities across the country.
