Young people support those affected by Grenfell Tower fire

An Achieving for Children-run youth centre has sprung into action to offer support to those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.

A number of young people from Whitton Youth Zone and residents from Whitton have all pulled together to collect clothes, bedding and toiletries.

Mandy Smith, Area Youth Work Lead, said “We very quickly collected a large number of items, showing how generous the local community is and how some of our young people felt it necessary to offer any help they could”.

With help from 1st Whitton Scouts, everything collected has been taken to Central Moves, a removal company in Twickenham, which has arranged delivery to those in need at the West London site.
